Travelling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi

Taxi
A private taxi from Dubai will cost around 335AED (US$90 / £75) and taxis are easy to locate once you exit the airport. The journey time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
Uber and Careem are also available as alternatives.
Bus

Public Bus
A public bus is available and will cost around US$10/ £8 but the journey can take up to 2 hours and 40 minutes. Separate tickets are needed, firstly for the metro and then for the intercity bus.
- From Dubai Airport travelers you will need to travel to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station in Dubai
- Either take the Red Metro line (from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3) to the bus station. The approximate journey time is 35 minutes
- Or take a taxi to the bus station, the approximate journey time is 25 minutes
- Then take the E100 bus to Abu Dhabi – the bus has its own terminal at the station
- The journey will terminate at Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station
The buses depart every 15 minutes and will terminate at Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. The Station is a 7-minute drive from Dusit Thani Hotel.
Airport Express Bus
The Airport Express bus operates 24 hours a day and whilst there is no need to pre-book, it can reduce waiting time if you purchase an online ticket here. The cost of the journey is approximately AED 35 (US$10/ £8).
The pick-up in Dubai is from the Ibn Battuta Bus Station which is a 30-minute drive or a 1-hour metro journey from Dubai airport.
Airline Shuttle
Etihad Airways and Emirates offer a shuttle service for ticket holders between the two cities:

This service is complimentary to ticket holders and the pick-up from Dubai is at the Al Wasl Centre (behind Safestway Supermarket’s Sheikh Zayed entrance). To reach this location from DXB Terminal 1, take the red metro line to Business Bay stop (approx. 35 min journey)
From Abu Dhabi, the Etihad Coaches are located at the lower level of arrivals at the airport.
Emirates

The service must be pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance via the airline, and the service is only applicable for Economy and Premium Economy Emirates passengers.
The pick-up from Dubai Airport is located on the Arrivals level at the last lane opposite Exit 3.
The pick-up from Abu Dhabi is the Emirates Downtown office, Khalidiya, Corniche which is a 20-minute drive from Dusit Thani Hotel. Passengers will be dropped off at Dubai Airport at Terminal 3 by check in area C in Departures.
