REIMAGINE EDUCATION CONFERENCE: SPEAKERS CONFIRMED!
NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY: A GOLD-STANDARD EDUCATION FOR A CHANGING WORLD
Competition
We have received more than double the number of submissions that we had at this time last year, but there’s still time for innovative educators to enter this year’s competition! The Reimagine Education Call for Submissions will close in just under one month, on the 10th September 2017. All those wishing to open an application can do so at http://www.reimagine-education.com/application/.
If you are one of the 500+ applicants that has not yet completed your application, and are unable to login or are experiencing other difficulties, please contact us at reimagine@qs.com, where one of our team members will be glad to assist you.
We have seen that a group of previous applicants are reviewing their submissions from previous years. We are delighted to see returning Reimaginers, but remind them that, because we have revamped our application form this year, they will need to open a new application. All appropriate content can be cut and pasted into the new application.
We look forward to receiving more examples of highly effective educational innovation over the next month.
Conference
First and foremost: we’re delighted to announce three new speakers for December’s conference. They represent the world’s third-best university for Computer Science, an innovative, award-winning AI startup, and the provider of the most-widely-used business school admissions test. They join representatives from Google, IBM, MIT, who will also be sharing their insights and expertise with our delegates. You can find out more about them here.
We are still seeking contributors to our Philanthropists in Education panel, to be held on the afternoon of the 5th December. We invite all those with expertise on the role that philanthropic endeavour plays in education to reach out to us at reimagine@qs.com to make their nominations.
We’re delighted to see numerous early sign-ups to Reimagine 2017, and encourage all those considering attendance to book as soon as possible. The Downtown Marriott Hotel – by far the most convenient location for attendees – still has a limited number of discounted rooms. Booking can be made at http://www.reimagine-education.com/book-now/.
News & Contributions
This edition’s contributions come from:
- Professor Mike Klymkowsky of the University of Colorado at Boulder, writing on scientific illiteracy;
- Our partners at the Penn Graduate School of Education, who are inviting all Reimaginers to participate in their Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition (EBPC). It is open to all educational entrepreneurs, and they encourage submissions from the Reimagine Education community.
Anyone who wishes to submit an article on their work, research, product, or paper for our newsletter is, as ever, welcome to contact jack@qs.com with an 100-word summary of their proposed topic. Until then – keep innovating!
Regards,
Jack Moran
